Perfecting Your Waitress Resume

If you are writing a waitress resume, then that activity is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do in your career as a waitress. When you are looking for a job as a waitress, then you must ensure that your resume stands out from the crowd. You must be able to tell the employer what you can do that is different from what others can do. And if they can do, the fact that you can do it better. The way you write your waitress resume will determine a great deal whether your resume will be read beyond the career objective or whether will be sent to the dustbin. This is the most basic lesson that you need to learn.

Like many waitresses know, the first impression does count a lot. To make your resume count with the first impression, here are a few things for you to follow:

When you are looking for a job, it is not as easy as it used to be. The best waitress resume that you must prepare is one which you explain what you can do best as a waitress. This means that you must be very particular on what you have achieved before.

For you to show that you are a good waitress, there are some things that may go beyond your skills and they may go past your character and reach to the point where your personality counts a lot. Therefore, you must first know which traits are needed among the waitress:

Able to work under pressureDoes not engage in arguments easilyHas self-control and doesn’t get angry at every turnWorks with a smileSomebody that is easy to work withShe is quick in processing ordersSmartHas a lively personality

The are of course not things that you will write in your resume. However, the best thing is that you can phrase your personality so that something similar traits come out.

Job description

All jobs are unique and the same applies to waitress. For this reason, you have to bring about the things that are unique about you and your job and show this in your resume. When you start out, the unique thing about a waitress resume is that you must be able to show what you can do.

Here I will not throw in the usual argument that do not list your job description. No. it is a bit different. Show what jobs you have done before and let them come out properly. Once you can tell what you will be able to do, then the different people will know what you can actually do. Then throw in one or two achievements like, voted the best waitress; Just a line to show that you are good.

Education. The training of a waitress is a bit different from many others since here, it is not just your university degree that should paste on your waitress resume. But if there is any training, it must be a skill-specific training. For example, if there is training on servicing VIPs, you can highlight this so that they can consider you to be an asset.
