Sample Finance Resume

Here is a sample finance resume for Finance professionals. The requisites for the financial resume are the same whether you are applying for positions such as a Chief Financial Officer, a Financial Analyst or Planner, a Portfolio Manager or an Investment Consultant. Typically a finance resume should focus on skills, areas of expertise, certifications and specific accomplishments. A few things to remember before reading our sample finance resume are given below.

Put your strengths up front by summarizing your key qualifications and putting them on the top half of the first page. The brief paragraph or section under professional profile or areas of expertise gives a clear picture of your professional experience. Some keywords that find place in any sample finance resume are Financial and strategic planning, P&L management, Auditing and compliance, Operating and working capital, Budget development and management, Merger and acquisition negotiations, Cash-flow management and modeling and Business valuations. Your Area of Expertise section should highlight your specific skills, knowledge and industry certifications and licenses (e.g. CPA, CFA, Series 7, 63 and/or 64 etc). While writing about your previous experience quantify the change you have brought in during your stint at that job.
