Resignation Letter Example

Resignation letter example: Leaving a job because you dislike it

Let's face it. There are countless people in the world who absolutely hate their jobs. Some of them are lucky to get the opportunity to find work elsewhere. Many of these people would love to tell their current employers how they really feel. Perhaps you are one of them.

But before you write a letter to your boss saying, "I hate this company" or "You made me miserable", remember that your resignation letter goes on file with the Human Resources department of your current employer. This means that a possible future employer can call and find out the circumstances under which you left. Therefore, it is in your best interest to leave the company on a positive note - even if you hated your job. In the long run, telling your employer how much you disliked you job can end up causing you even more grief.

See the example below to get ideas for the brief letter you should write.
