The following are some good questions to ask in an interview with future coworkers:

  • Why did you decide to join this company?
  • What were your initial expectations? Were they met?
  • How have your expectations changed over time?
  • Do you consider your company to be an ideal employer?
  • Do you enjoy working here? Why or why not?
  • What do you consider your company's strengths and weaknesses?
  • What can you tell me about working for your manager?
  • What do you find the most satisfying about working here? Most frustrating?
  • What advice would you give to someone in my position?
  • Which specific skills are you using in your daily job?
  • What are the day-to-day duties of your job?
  • What is a typical working day like in your position?
  • What has been you career path with the organization?
  • How much travel is involved in your job?
  • How many hours do you typically work?
  • Do you work overtimes?
  • Is there anything else you'd like to know?
  • What major problems are you facing right now in this department or position?
