Georgia is the 24th biggest and the 10th most populous state in the USA. The largest city in the state Atlanta is also the state capital. Although the majority of jobs in Georgia are created in the trade and service industries, manufacturing and agriculture are still important to the state's economy. Textiles and textile products manufacturing has long been Georgia's leading industry. Other leading manufactures include transportation equipment, foods, paper products, chemicals and automobiles. The state is a leading producer of pulpwood and timber (especially pine). Primary agricultural production include cotton, peanut, corn and tobacco.
