Until you are offered a position, you shouldn't answer this question. You can say something like: "I'm sure we can agree on a reasonable amount when the time comes. In what range do you usually pay someone with my background?" However, do your homework before your first interview and find out the salary range in your industry.

4. What can you do for us that other candidates can't?

Can you do this job? Can you do this job better than others? Identify some unique things in your education, skills, experience and accomplishments.

5. What type of work environment do you like best?

Can you fit in this organization. Tailor your answer to the position that's been interviewed.

6. How long are you going to stay with us?

You are not going to leave us after 3 or 4 months, right? But you also may not want to stay there for you whole life. Say something like, "As long as we both feel achievement-oriented"

7. You seem overqualified for this job? What's your opinion?

Are you really interested in this job? Will you be satisfied here. Yes, you do. Explain why.

8. What was a major obstacle you have to overcome?

Give me an example that you can do a job like this one. Use STAR formula, which is situation, target, action and results.

9. Do you fee you made the right career decision?

Are you really interested in this career? Give some examples of how you enjoyed your work.

10. Are you a team player, or do you prefer to work independently?

Teamwork is always desired in any type of organization, so you need to demonstrate that you can work well in a team environment, but you can also produce great results independently if that's the best for the company.

11. This position requires a good amount of overtime: late evenings and some weekends. Will this be a problem in your personal life?

Your employer may not need you sacrifice your family for your career, but at least they want to know that you're enthusiastic about the job and have some flexibility in your time.

12. Can you give me an account of one or two of your greatest accomplishment?

Do your homework before the interview, find out the employer's needs and correlate your accomplishments with those needs.
