Education Cover LetterIf you are writing an education cover letter, here are a few guidelines that may just get you into the interview. As always, use a nice smart, professional paper. Print your name on the top in a font that is slightly larger than the rest of the content, followed by address, contact numbers, email address and other contact particulars (just like a letterhead). Briefly highlight the important issues such as – the post you are applying for, your experience and education, current qualifications and how you are a good candidate for the job. Keep the content short and crisp. All letters ring true when they are written with honesty, so keep the letter and its contents as close to the real you as possible. The sample education cover letter is given below. John Smith April 2, 2006 Mr. Sean Douglas I am keen on applying for a teaching position, in your school. I am a major in ABC, having graduated from Y College, Z University. I have student teaching experience of about three years on the second, and third grade level, in both suburban and urban school districts. Presently I am teaching preschool children at xz school and help elementary school children to master basic skills. The job has been extremely fulfilling and has taught me the virtues of being creative, patient and flexible in this profession. I am passionate about teaching young children because it is an extremely creative method of communicating learning concepts to children.
