Some important manufactures are jet engines and parts, electronics and electrical machinery, computer equipment, helicopters, textiles and silverware. Insurance is important in Connecticut; the Hartford metropolitan area is one of the industry's world centers. The Foxwoods gambling casino and the nearby Mohegan Sun casino attract many visitors to SE Connecticut and are among the largest employers in the state. Agriculture accounts for only a small share of state income.
