Career Personality Tests

Career personality tests are used to see if your personality matches your job and your working environment. Your personality is determined by your attitude toward outside world that develop over time, it is who you are in the core and what allows you to be yourself. Your personality type can partly determine whether you'll be happy and satisfied with your career, so knowing your personality is helpful in career planning.

Two famous personality test instruments are the Keirsey Temperament Sorter and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Both instruments give you a four letter "type code" for your personality and then math it with occupations that have the same code. These four letters are chosen from four personality preference pairs: (E)-Extraversion/(I)-Introversion; (S)-Sensing Perception/(N)-Intuitive Perception; (T)-Thinking Judgment/(F)-Feeling Judgment; and (J)-Judging Lifestyle/(P)-Perceiving Lifestyle. By choosing your preferences, you'll be assigned a four letter code that is your personality type.

Career personality test is complementary to career interest test and career aptitude test. By taking all these three kinds of tests, you'll have some insight into what types of jobs are best suitable for you.
